Mukono: Friends of Kiwanuka Foundation to Give a Hand to Over 800 School Going Orphans in Nakifuma
The 2026 Member of Parliament Aspirant, Kiwanuka Sulaiman through his foundation, Friends of Kiwanuka Foundation says that he is to give a hand to at least 800 school going orphans in Nakifuma County.
Since early last year, Kiwanuka has been engaging in different development activities that aiming at changing the lives of Nakifuma residents.
Kiwanuka has been more in sports development activities and one of his agendas is to make Nakifuma ‘Uganda’s Brazil’, however, this year, the Business Man spread wings into other development activities like giving locals of small businesses Capital and this has been moving in different Sub Counties of Nakifuma.
At the event of opening a Police Post of Kateete Village in Kasawo Sub County where he was the guest of honor on Friday, Kiwanuka Sulaiman revealed that he is to help orphans in Nakifuma County with school going materials for start such that they don’t lose great future because of lack of school items.
“We were all affected by COVID-19, the wallets were hugely hit and it’s now time for children going back to school. As Kiwanuka I want to give a hand to orphans at least with basic school going materials, like pens, books, sets and the bags, I have come with some in my car and I request the leader of this sub county to get at least 100 orphans who can benefit in that, for start, that’s what I can afford ” Kiwanuka commented while giving a simple speech at Kateete.
Nakifuma County has eight sub counties and town councils; Nagojje, Namataba, kasawo Subcounty, kasawo town council, Nakifuma -Nagalama,Ntunda, Kimenyedde ,Seeta Namuganga, Kiwanuka wants at least 100 orphans per sub county to benefit from the project tht kicked off yesterday and it’s to end the next week.
“As Kiwanuka I don’t know every orphan in different Sub Counties but as leaders you know them, so it’s my request you get them to receive their package.”
The Spartans FC boss also asked government to help in regulating the hiked fees by the schools and asked schools also not to hike the tuition too high because none wasn’t affected by the pandemic.
At the end of the day, Friends of Kiwanuka Foundation and Kateete Police had a friendly match that ended in a one all draw.
