Finally the President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni announced Former Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Jessica Alupo as the new Vice President replacing, Hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi.
 
In this new cabinet 2021-26, has three ladies in top seats in the executive, Katakwi Woman MP Maj (Rtd) Jessica Alupo is the new vice president of Uganda while former state Minister for Health Robinah Nabanja named Prime Minister and the Immediate former Speaker Rt Hon. Rebecca Kadaga named Deputy Prime Minister.
