The result saw Light College finish fifth overall in a competitive championship that was won by Uganda’s St Mary’s Kitende. Hamdan finished second, St Noa Girls third, while Bukokholo claimed fourth place.
Andersen finished seventh, followed by V Wawa in eighth and Mbeya in ninth.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, Light College head coach Ivan Mpoza said he was pleased with what his players achieved despite it being their first appearance at the regional school games.
“In my assessment, we have performed well. It was our first attempt, so I am happy for my team. I believe a lot has been learnt, and next time we shall be better,” Mpoza said.
The fifth-place finish provides Light College with valuable experience as they look to build on their maiden FEASSA campaign and challenge for a higher position in future editions.
