Kayunga Decides2021: Kayunga Sub County L III Race, FDC’s Naguba Vying To Unseat Muganga

Not like in past elections where few people got attracted to vying to different political positions, this time round a number of youths came in to compete.

Kayunga district has eight Sub Counties but in today’s article emphasis is on Kayunga Sub County where seven candidates ate vying for Chairman Local Council three position.

Ssozi Ronald Naguba, the 2016 Ntenjeru North constituency contestant, is in the race to unseat NRM’s Muganga Christopher come 2021.

In an exclusive interview with this website, Forum for Democratic Change flag bearer, Ssozi said that he is to put much emphasis on agriculture, Health Care System in the sub County as well as monitoring all the government programs in his territory once given responsibility.

 “My emphasis will be on improving agriculture, health care, education and also monitoring all government projects especially in Kayunga sub county. Am going to see that our area receives what it meant to get from the government.” Naguba’s Campaigning message.

The 32-year old, a father and a husband, Ssozi believes that he will find stiff competition in the race where they are seven but he is not scared of his opponents though he is to find much challenge against the incumbent.

“The competition is there but according to electorates gestures, it give much confidence to me that am to win this. The immediate opponent would be Muganga Christopher of NRM but I hear he is with Kalangwa so only that gives me a upper hand because Kalangwa is not a darling to people of Kayunga due to his history and acts.”

Naguba who took the second position behind Ntenjeru North Constituency Member of Parliament, Amos Lugoloobi in 2016, he also revealed as to why he dropped from that level to L3.

“In 2016 I put stiff competition and I was the second behind Lugoloobi but in between I had to go to Germany for further studies, that means I was absent on ground, then I decided to comeback, and the build my base from ground.”

Naguba is in race with Incumbent and NRM flag bearer, Muganga Christopher, Bogere Steven Kowa, Livingston Bigumirwa, Joshua Kampi, Walusimbi Ssenoga, and a one Jjemba.
