Jinja District NPP USSSA Qualifiers:St Stephen Budondo Fights Back to earn a spot in the last 16

St Stephen Bodondo and Viva College qualified for the knockout stage of the secondary schools boys football competition in group F hosted at Jinja SS.

Viva, St Stephen and Bugembe Islamic all tied at 12 points, and determining the top team had to be decided on goals scored because Viva and St Stephen Bodondo still tied on goal difference. Bugembe Islamic missed out on advancing due to an inferior goal difference. Lwanda high finished 4th with 9 points, London college followed in 5th with 4, Hillside Lubani with 3 points settled for 6th while East SS at the bottom could only manage 2 draws.

Elsewhere, Lakeside SS Masese and Mother Kevin qualifed in group D held MM college Wairaka. Lakeside topped the group with 13 points while Mother Kevin came second with 12.
Group C and G will be in action today at MM college Wairaka and Jinja college respectively.
