Kampala: Following yesterday’s drama in the supreme Court where Justice Esther Kisakye accused Chief Justice Owiny Dollo for confiscating her Minority ruling file on Kyagulanyi Election Petition withdrawal,  the Judiciary came out to clear the air.

The Judiciary referred to the incident as just miscommunication from Justice Esther Kisakye.

On Thursday, Justice Kisakye made a statement claiming that Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo confiscated her file on the ruling about Kyagulanyi’s petition and she added that the eight other judges on panel never wanted her to read her ruling yesterday.

However, while speaking to Media on Thursday, the Judiciary Principal communications officer Solomon Muyita termed the incident as just miscommunication from both sides.

There’s nothing that has been confiscated from the Justice Kisakye because the copy she read this afternoon had not been shared with anybody. said Muyita.

According to Muyita, Justice Kisakye was unfair to her colleagues because she had earlier read through their rulings in the matter and that it was strange that she would turn around to stop them from reading hers.

Justice Kisakye has the benefit of reading her colleagues’ ruling. After reading her colleagues’ ruling, she promised to come back with hers” Muyita added.
