I am Tired of Fighting With Fellow Muslims- Supreme Mufti Resigns

Kampala: Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa has resigned as the supreme Mufti of the Kibuli based Muslim Faction.

Yesterday 1st.April.2021 (Thursday evening) in an interview with Journalists at Bulange, Ndirangwa made it clear that he was tired of fighting with his fellow leaders who are supposed to work hand in hand together with him for the betterment of the Islamic faith.

” I first of all thank God for this great evening and for what I am about to convey to the Muslims of Uganda. Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to lead” he said.

In his speech, he was grateful to all people he worked with including Kadhis and imams across the country.

“I have surely stepped down for the good and unity of the Islamic faith and to also give opportunity to others to lead as well” he revealed.

It should be remembered that Ndirangwa was appointed as supreme Mufti of the Kibuli based Muslim Faction on 16th.Dec.2015 for he replaced Sheikh Zubair Kayongo who passed away in April 2015 at Aga Khan Hospital in Tanzania , so he has held this position for six full years until his resignation.

The Kibuli faction are not in good relationship with the Old Kampala Section, each side believes to be the right.

It’s not yet revealed why surely Ndirangwa resigned, less than a year when his strong man Sheikh Muzaata Batte died of COVID-19.
