FWSL: Bizarre! The Sharks Eaten Alive In Masindi, Hungry Doves Leave No Left Overs
The Sharks from Nakawa caught pants down and opportunistic Lady Doves mercilessly grabbed their ‘virginity’ in blood day light.
Fazila Ikwaput registered a hattrick as Lady Doves FC humiliate the former table leaders, She Corporate FC by 5-0 in an encounter honored at Katushabe Stadium in Masindi on Wednesday evening.
Norah Alupo and Kwikiriza Dorcus are the other names registered on the score sheet as Lady Doves grabbing She Corporate 12 games unbeaten run.
Ikwaput who moved to eight goals this season, started her hat trick in the 27th minute of first stanza with a long range off from right flank before bouncing back to punish the shaky Corporate defense with another powerful strike in the 31st minute and she sealed her first hattrick of the season in the 90th minute.
In between the first stanza at the 37th minute mark, the unmarked Norah Alupo grabbed a chance to put the ball at the back of the net when Corporate’s defenders failed to clear it away after a corner kick. In the 70th minute, Kwikiriza Dorcus scored the fourth for the hosts.
The historical game saw Lady Doves securing the first home win of the season and on the other hand, She Corporates lost it’s unbeaten run in a shaming manner.
On the day She Corporate looked poor and below average, Miriam Ibunyu and Cissy Nantongo looked very causal and they forced the tactician to substitute them, Ibunyu made Ikwaput good on the day.
The switch played worked very well for the hosts and allowed not She Corporate to dominate the middle of the park where they have their strength.
Fazila Ikwaput who scored three on the day had this to comment after the game.
“We lost against Corporate in first round, we had no win at home this season, we came charged, very determined, come as one team, believed in ourselves, I promised my team that today am going to do something and it’s good, it has happened.” Said Fazila Ikwaput.
With Tooro Queens losing 3-1 against UCU Lady Cardinals, Lady Doves moved a place to 7th now with 13 points in 13 games while She Corporate lost not only the game but also their top seat on the log.
