Stanbic Uganda Cup: Semifinal Draws Held, Finale’s Date Revealed

The Stanbic Uganda cup semifinals draws were held on Thursday, 05th May 2022 at FUFA Headquarters in Mengo.

The defending champions, and the current Uganda Premier League Champions, Vipers Sports Club learnt their opponents at this level and they are to travel to Kakyeka Stadium to visit the Ankole Lions, Mbarara City FC.

The 2021 losing finalists BUL FC are to play against the only regional league side still in the race, Booma FC.

At this level, it’s going to be at a home and away basis and the best side will qualify to final set to host between 11th and 12th June 2022 and a venue yet to be communicated.

The semifinals first leg dates are between 10th and 12th May and second leg scheduled to be held between 17th and 19th May 2022.

Statistically, so far the tournament has celebrated 120 goals across 60 games plays since the round of 64.

At this stage Karim Ndugwa of Bul FC is the leeding top scorer of the tournament jointly along with Yunus Ssentamu Junior of Vipers both at 5 goals.

Asimwe Clinton of Booma FC stands the second on 4 goals.
