FUFA Women’s Super League: Expect Drama, Ugly Scenes As Group A Ends
Drama, ugly scenes are expected in last two games of Group A of FUFA Women’s Super League underway at Njeru Technical Center.
According to sources from inside each team’s camp at Njeru Technical Center, drama already started immediately after the Tooro Queens-Kampala Queens encounter, the football Queens controversially won 2-1 on Friday morning.
It started from dinning room at Njeru when a clique of Tooro Queens players ranted that by all means, they will make sure and see that Kampala Queens doesn’t get out of the group, all to feel the same pain.
“You stole us but wait for tomorrow, you will also not get out of the group, and you will understand that it’s bad to steal in day light.” Tooro Queens clique of players face to face told the Kampala Queens players while leaving the dinning hall.
It should be recalled that Center referee, Akoi Anna awarded un clear penalty to Kampala Queens, which was converted by Fauzia Najjemba and left the whole stadium amused.
That is first side of drama.
Another source allegies that all Officers and referees at Njeru received orders from ‘above’ informing them not to let Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC win their game against Tooro Queens with goals more than one and Kampala Queens to beat Makerere University with over three goals.
“One official from FUFA came here at Njeru and ordered referees and officials to make sure that Kampala Queens make it to semifinals.” a leaked audio stated.
Officials from all five clubs at Njeru, held an urgent meeting with FUFA competitions department and the purpose of the meeting was to inform clubs that the time of fixtures was changed from the earlier communicated one.
Informing them that both games will be played at the same time (12noon) at different grounds. That is FUFA Technical Center Njeru and Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
And according to latest communication, Kampala Queens-Makerere University WFC encounter which was supposed to be held at 9am at Njeru, it was changed to 12noon and will be played at Kakindu Stadium.
Then the Uganda Martyrs-Tooro Queens game will be held at Njeru at 12noon. FUFA claims that they want to avoid syndicate though they were advised before and refused to change.
The clubs in question, that is Uganda Martyrs, Makerere University and Tooro Queens refused to buy the idea apart from Kampala Queens.
The other party is saying that the guidelines they received from the same competitions department informed them that they should not leave Njeru until their games are completed.
The latest information, this website is receiving indicates that Makerere University players said that they will not honor that game if it’s not at 9am at Njeru as it was earlier communicated. However, the sources again tells this website that Makerere University sports tuitor arrived at Njeru this night to calm down his players.
Why all this is happening:
Clubs allege that FUFA wants Kampala Queens to make it to semifinals at all cost.
Calculations:
The big tag of war is between Kampala Queens and Uganda Martyrs, both sides have six points but Martyrs has a goal difference of two and Kampala Queens with negative two.
If Kampala Queens is to go through, they must beat Makerere with a margin of over six goals that is if Martyrs win by a goal to none.
It ends tomorrow.
