FUFA Women’s Super League: Eight Star Fazila Ikwaput Gives a Clear Definition of Real Football as Lady Doves Laugh Last
Fazila Ikwaput strike late for Lady Doves as the Masindi based side crowned the Champions FUFA Women’s Super League for the year 2021.
The beautiful vengeance for Lady Doves against UCU Lady Cardinals came after a 2-1 victory on Wednesday afternoon at Njeru Technical Center.
The Masindi based side started with their forward Fazila Ikwaput but they went forward with Elizabeth Nakigozi in 27th minute, she had a beautiful free kick and they won the first stanza despite the fact that UCU Lady Cardinals had the ball the more.

The exceptional talent in Fazila Ikwaput came off the bench in the the 77th minute replacing Joweria Nagadya and disorganized UCU’s plans.
She had eight minutes on the pitch, scored a goal in the 84th minute and in the 85th minute she was stretched off, never left the celebration corner.
Ikwaput, the exceptional player for Uganda and Lady Doves in particular crowned the Most Valuable Player as well as the top scorer with eight goals, according to FUFA, the forward will get 2M for the two accolades she got.
The believer, nicknamed Akiki by Masindi residents, had a wonderful performance from the start of the tournament, scored a haul in the opening fixture against Isra Soccer Academy WFC, Ikwaput punished UCU three goals, she had a brace in Group stage then on final, she also beat Olila.
Lady Doves FC became the first club to lift the FUFA Women’s Super League trophy.
They won 12M as prize money and they are the side to represent Uganda in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers slated to be held in Kenya in July 2021.
UCU Lady Cardinals lost their first FUFA organized final, against the side they beat 2-0 while winning the 2019 Women’s Elite League.
They received the silver medal accompanied with 7M as prize money.
Uganda Martyrs WFC beat Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC 2-1 in the Classification Match to move away with a bronze medal and five millions prize money.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies took two Million.
