“Sports is for players not forl officials.” The former FUFA president stated.
” To become official there must be players first. It is indiscipline for an official to ask players for what they have displayed, we should learn on how to differentiate between performance and results. some times you may put up a beautiful performance and fail to get the results and some times you put a very bad performance and walk away with stunning results.
If you’re an official, better respect players , they risk a lot to play what you’re officiating.”
At the award Kakaire was awarded the first sports achievers award and the 76 year old outs his appreciation message “ I am very happy that my football clan has remembered me.
I call sports a tribe, a tribe which has clans and football is my first clan, we did our terms and those who are today’s presidents are enjoying my sweats. What is happening today is a meal on dining but it has to be prepared before it gets there.
We prepared that food which is currently at the table.
I am not happy for those who doesn’t appreciate what others did.
If we did not play a FIFA organized Women’s competition in 1997. The FUFA house wouldn’t be there“. Kakaire in his speech.
