Electoral Commission Launches 113 Brand New Vehicles to be Distributed to Districts

On Monday at Kyambogo , The Electoral Commission chairman James Byabakama has launched 113 brand new Hillux Toyota vehicle and 21 motorcycle to ease their work.

These modern vehicles will be handed over to each and every districts that is having old vechicles to help them in there movements during bi-elections and also after four years down the road it will be the same vehicles that will be used in elections 2026.

Byamakama also warned all drivers that anyone caught beyond the New guide lines it will be his or her exit from the commission since hundreds of people are yearning to enter the commission there fore they should be extra mindful towards these cars.

The tendency of misusing government vehicles, now things have changed. We don’t want to put tax payers money to waste. Once you caught misusing it, definitely that will be your exit route out of the Commission.” Said Byabakama.

The commission has brought these cars m because they are preparing the bi-elections in Kayunga and other Districts where court ordered the fresh elections.

The same vehicles will be used in the 2023 Chairpersons elections.
