Don’t Joke With My Land, Kabaka Sends no Messenger, Reach Himself to State House

It has been evident that the Kingdom of Buganda and Central government have been on log heads over the issue of mailo land.

President Museveni and his Ministers on several occasions have been citing that the land law must change especially in Buganda, the law aiming at removing the mailo land to which Kabaka has authority.

Today, Tuesday, the Kabaka himself paid a courtesy visit to President at the state lodge at Nakasero, Kampala

During the meeting, President Museveni and Kabaka Mutebi discussed development matters of mutual interest between the Kingdom and the government.

The two leaders later briefly exchanged pleasantries, both acknowledging that they have taken long without meeting, before going in for a closed door meeting.

The Kabaka of Baganda is accompanied by a four-man delegation including Prince David Wasajja and Katikkiro (Prime Minister) in the government of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga.
