Big League: Amaku Fred Brace Secures Maroons a Second Consecutive Win

Jinja: Amaku Fred scored a brace to allow  Maroons secure their second win of the season.

Maroons Football Club secured their second win of the season when they beat a newly promoted Gaddafi FC 2-0 at the Bugembe Stadium on Sunday.

Former On-colour Busoga United forward Amaku Fred (brace) inspired the prison wardens  to a resounding victory, on the road after an earlier 3-1 win at home against Paidha Black Angels in League opener.

After a goal-less opening 45 minutes, Amaku lit up the game with his first of the two goals in the 64th minute before he doubled the lead for the visitors, eight minutes to full time with a well converted penalty.

Meanwhile, The key talking point among others in this particular game was the injury suffered by Gaddafi captain Ngobi Pascal in 3rd minutes of the game and he could not continue with the match. Just to be replaced by Kyeyune Umar.

This means, the money bags registered their first loss of the season before testing any road fixture.

Else where, though they convincingly beat Kigezi Homeboys in their league opener, Proline FC at home at MTN Omondi lost to Tooro United by a goal to none and the lone goal scored by Oshaba Marvin, While Paidha Black Angels registered a one all draw against Mbale Heroes.
