Big League: Adjumani Frustrates NEC as Mbarara City Go Top

Adjumani Football Club frustrated the Bugolobi based side ,NEC Football Club in the added minutes to deny maximum points for the latter in a match played on 30th, March ,2023 in Adjumani district.

The match ended in 1-1 draw ,bringing the team to 41 points instead of 43 Incase of the Victory which would have put them on level with second placed Kitara on 43 points which is yet to play Police on Friday ,31st ,March ,2023 in Hoima district.

Having held the game for the 90 minutes ,the NEC football club fans thought that the club had snatched the three points from the hosts but the owners of the pitch never gave up ,looked composed and determined till the last minute and Indeed their persistence brought some point into the camp.

For the hosts ,Adjumani’s situation continued to become so tough and worse since the one point they got ,couldn’t create any impact on the table
as it remains 2nd on the table,on 22 points from the bottom of the log.

In Mbarara ,Henry Kitegenyi scored the lone goal of the day as Mbarara leapfrogged Kitara to storm the summit on 44 points ,one above the Kitara side.

In Hoima ,Booma moved to 34 points ,4th on log,with awin over struggling Kyetume FC.

Luwero United moved to 10th on the log on 28 points after edging Calvary FC by 2-0 to return to winning ways.

In other games ,Soroti were 2-1 victorious against struggling Kataka and Jinja based side ,Jinja North registered 1-0 over last placed Northern Gateway in Jinja as Lugazi FC and Karo Karungi shared spoils.
