betPawa Futsal Super League: Lubaga ‘not Virgin Anymore’, Kisenyi Mercilessly ‘eats it’s goat alive’ as Nansana Aska Registers second Win

The defending champions, Lubaga Grameen’s unbeaten run never escaped the third attempt of the season.

Kisenyi Futsal Club (KFC) maintained their lead in the 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League, securing a dominant 6-2 victory against rivals Lubaga Grameen in a thrilling match at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday evening.

Abdihamid Dahir Ahmed’s hat-trick and Ismael Warsame’s brace, along with Abdulkarim Abdullahi’s goal, propelled Kisenyi to victory, while Michael Lubowa and Bruno Ssegirinya netted for Grameen in a valiant effort.

With this win, Kisenyi solidified their top position on the league table, accumulating a perfect nine points from three games.

They share the same points with Park and Luzira, both also triumphant in their Thursday evening clashes. 

This has been the first defeat for the reigning champions who had a better first stanza but tactically frozen in the second half scoring none but conceding four against a very aggressive Kisenyi side.

In other Friday matches, Nansana ASKA clinched their second win of the season, overcoming Aidenal 3-2, while Kabowa Dream Team secured their inaugural victory by defeating bottom-placed Kawempe FC 3-1. 

Kawempe FC under coach Pius Serugo is one of the two sides on the log with no point and with the lowest scoring rate, have only four goals and conceded 19 in three matches. Another side with no point is Aidenal FC.

Kisenyi’s Ismail Warsame and Michael Lubowa of Lubaga Grameen tie on six goals on the scorers’ chart.

Looking ahead, Matchday four is scheduled to resume on Thursday, 14th December, and conclude on Friday, 15th December 2023.
