Beach Soccer: WhatsApp With the Quartet of Sand Cranes Stars Remained In Senegal
Last week, this website reported from trusted sources that four the Sand Cranes Contingent that took part in the 2021 Africa Beach Soccer Championship held in Senegal did not get back home with the team.
And the main cause of their long stay in Senegal was COVID-19, the quartet tested positive before the team’s departure and under the guidance of Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Senegalese FA decided to remain with the boys untill their situation come to normal.
After five days Isolation in Senegal
Sands cranes player were allowed to fly back to Uganda and according to Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Communications director, Ahmed Marsha Hussein, the four landed at Entebbe International Airport on Friday.
The four players in question are; Paul Lule, Elvis Kasujja, Suleiman Ochero and Ismael Kawawulo.
In their maiden high profile tournament, Uganda Sand Cranes finished fourth and on their return, the FA promised to reward every member who was to contingent with a token of appreciation worth 7.7M shillings.
