Beach Soccer: Sand Cranes Contingent on Cloud 9, Fastly Receives Appreciation Token From FUFA

What a lucky side, the Sand Cranes Contingent that represented Uganda in the just concluded Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations held in Senegal have received it’s appreciation token from FUFA.

Prior to their return at home from Senegal on 31st May 2021, the Second Vice President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations, Darius Mugoye revealed that the 24-man contingent will share a token worth 185.9M and each was to receive 7.7M.

This amount was to Carter for the training camp allowances and winning bonuses, plus match bonuses.

The promise turned true this afternoon when the federation sent the token to the accounts of the 24 members.

FUFA has paid each member of 24 man Uganda Sands Cranes Contingent (National Beach Soccer Team) for their exceptional performance at the 2021 AFCON Beach Soccer Finals in Senegal.

Uganda finished 4th at the tournament, has been paid Ugshs, 7.7M for 22 days spent in camp preparing for and taking part in the tournament. 

The payment made includes; Camp allowances, appearance fees, winning bonus for match’s and reaching the semifinals.” Communication from FUFA Communication director, Ahmed Marsha Hussein, reads.

Meanwhile, the U-20 Contingent is yet to receive it’s bonus for taking part in AFCON U-20 Championship that took Part in Mauritius.
