Nazigo Football Club and Kayunga United Football Club shared spoils in the opening match of the 2021/22 football season of Kayunga District Football Association 4th Division league played on Saturday 19th, February 2022 at Farmers Arena, Nazigo R/C playgrounds.
Both teams produced a battling display with hosts, Nazigo football club taking first half while visitors, Kayunga United football club dominated the other half of the game.
Exciting pacey winger, Mark Ssali scored for the hosts (Nazigo Football Club) in the 24th minute to send home supporters into jubilation before senior player Ivan Miiro levelled the matters in the second half of the game.

Chief Guest, Hon. Amos Lugoloobi a member of Parliament representing People of Ntenjeru North promised to support all sporting activities in the District and he used this chance to extend his supporting hand to Kayunga District Football Association with two Million Uganda Shillings (2,000,000/=) to help them in the smooth running of the league.
“We as political leaders from Kayunga District, we are ready and willing to support any sporting activity organized in our area because it is the only way we can help as per talent development is concerned”. Said Hon. Amos Lugoloobi while handing over his support.
“I am very happy to see that my fellow member of Parliament from Kayunga District are supporting talent development. Hon Charles Tebandeke has a team (Bbaale United FC) and Hon. Patrick Nsanja also taking the same route so this means I am also going to get a team which I will be strongly attached too” Added the soft spoken MP.

In the next engagements, Kayunga United will be at home (Bishop Brown playground) against Ssezibwa Bukamba on Saturday 26th, February while Nazigo FC will travel to Ndeeba Church of Uganda playground against home side, Ndeeba Football club.
Action returns on Sunday 20th, February with two (2) matchday fixtures where Busaana Select will play hosts to Bbaale United Football club as Bus Park Kirindi pay a visit to Ssezibwa Bukamba at Namulanda Church of Uganda playground.
One game, Kayunga Light College FC/Rays of Grace FC versus Kawoomya football club was postponed by Kayunga District Football Association.
