Successfully the Real Stars Sports Agency in conjunction with their main sponsor, Fortebet Uganda, partners, Canaan Investments and Jude Color Solutions held a virtual event at Route 256 Restaurant, Lugogo where they awarded the best performers of the month of July.
The only silver medalist for Uganda so far in the ongoing Olympic games in Tokyo Japan, Joshua Cheptegei headlined the accolade winners of July, he beat his fellow athletes, Jacob Kiplimo the Bronze medalist in 10000m and Winnie Nanyondo who finished 4th and 5th in Monaco and London Diamond Leagues respectively.
The crew of Yassin Nasser and Ali Katumba won the accolade unopposed since they had no competitor in the race, this crew finished third at Rally Tanzania behind Kenya’s Carl Tundo and Tim Jessop in the VW Polo R5 who emerged as winner and Karan Patel (Ford Fiesta R5) who finished second.
Rally Tanzania doubled as the Africa Rally Championship third round.
Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba managed to secure enough points to push them third on ARC log with 28 points.
