Kayunga: Put Your Land Into Use – Bbaale MP, Advises His Constituents

The greatest challenge the people Kayunga district and Uganda at large is the land grabbing and the leaders until now have failed to get a remedy for it.

The newly elected and sworn-in Member of Parliament, Bbaale Constituency, Hon. Charles Tebandeke advised his constituents to put their land to use as a way of curbing the challenge of land grabbing in their area.

The legislator says that the locals are too reluctant with their land which gives opportunity to land grabbers to take their land.

While hosted on one of the Local Radio Stations, Radio Simba on Sunday night, in their weekly political talk show, Tebandeke elaborated a number of issues and what his constituents should do to solve their challenges amicably.

“Let put our land in Bbaale into use, most of you buy land and leave it there redundant and you travel to Kampala, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other parts of the world but when left your land with nothing on it. 

This gives chance to land grabbers to trickily take your land, so I request you to use your land at least plant trees, I need each local to plant at least ten trees every year.” Hon. Charles Tebandeke.

In addition, Tebandeke asked all the leaders from lower levels to come together and fight the challenge they are facing.

“The Councilors, DISO, RDCs, and local Council Chairpersons I request you, let’s work together to solve the challenge of land grabbing and even advocate for the construction of Galiraya road and the good thing I have asked Hon. Lugoloobi [Amos], Hon. Nsanja Patrick and Hon. Aidah Nantaba to have a meeting and strategize how we can advocate for our district and our people.”

The outspoken legislator also asked NUP members not to divide the party because they did not get positions, he asked them to continue work together such that they don’t antagonize with the party’s strategies of 2026.

It should be recalled that the National Unity Platform top management selected the leaders of Opposition last week and for starters, the First Vice president of the party and Member of Parliament representing Nyendo-Mukungwe Division, Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba selected as the leader of Opposition.
