Beach Soccer AFCON 2021: Mozambique Ends Cranes Road to Russia Prematurely
Sand Cranes hope to take part in the forthcoming 2021 Beach Soccer World Cup to be hosted in Russia cut short by Mozambique.
Uganda Sand Cranes had to defeat Mozambique in the Semifinals of the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations but the result went the other way round, the Cranes were beaten 6-3 with Rachid Chefo Smith netting five times on the day.
Nelson Manual was another player on score sheet for Mozambique in a match play on 28th May 2021 at Saly Beach Soccer Stadium in Senegal.
Uganda lost game late in the third period when Mozambique over powered the Cranes.

At a certain moment in third period Uganda had a 3-2 leading 3-2 before the concentration was lost.
Uganda scored through Emmanuel Wasswa, Baker Lukooya and Paul Lule but their strikes were not enough for Salim Muwonge coached side to make it to world Cup in their debut attempt at such a level.
In other semifinal results, the host Senegal kept their dream to defend the title alive when they defeated Morocco 3-2 after full-time.
Earlier on the day there was a classification match for who will take the fifth position between Egypt and Tanzania and the 4-2 result showed that the Egyptians are superior.
Now Uganda will have to play against Morocco in the 3rd position playoff match on Saterday 29th May.
The match shall be followed by tournament final match where we will see Senegal taking on Mozambique at Saly Beach Soccer Stadium.
