The current Uganda Premier League super rivals, Vipers Sports Club and Sports Club Villa shared spoils in the first leg of the maiden quarter final of 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup edition.

The entire 90 minutes saw both sides at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Tuesday scoring two goals, with each taking a share.

Through Lawrence Tezikya header, thanks to Bobosi Byaruhanga sweet delivery, Viper unlocked the visitors in the 80th minute following a barren first stanza, but as the home side was preparing for home victory cerebrations, Ronald Ssekiganda stepped into the Party with the 90+2 minute heartbreaker strike to give the visitors much qualification hope in second leg.

This has been the third consecutive time when both sides are meeting this season, the first two saw Venoms leaving ground chanting.

The return leg will be at Bombo Barracks playground, a goalless draw will drive the nine-time title winners to semifinals.

In the other days fixtures, BUL FC Completed a double against Kabale based side, Kigezi Homeboys FC after a 2-1 Victory in favor of the visitors.

Following a 4-2 goal aggregate win moved BUL FC to Quarter Final and they are to visit the 2019 Champions, Proline FC on 28th May at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.

On Wednesday the two record winners, KCCA FC and on-form Express FC will be squaring off at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in the second quarter final fixture.
