FUFA Elections: Race for Women Super League Clubs’ Delegate Heats up as Lady Doves CEO Joins
After guiding club techincally since inception in 2016, Lady Doves FC Chief Executive Officer, Scovia Angeyo believes it is time for her to make contrubition in policy making in Football Parliament.
Lady Doves FC focused Chief Executive Officer, Scovia Angeyo showed her interest to represent FUFA Women’s Super League Club in the FUFA General Assembly for the next four years.
She had already picked the nomination forms, filled and submitted them back to the Electoral Committee early this week.
While speaking to this website, the determined Scovia revealed that she is coming with a number of developmental ideas that will take the game to another level.
“It’s true I have come out to contest for a post to represent Super League clubs.” Angeyo confirmed.
Among the key points in her agenda is the effective representation through consultations and team work.
“We need to synchronise and harmonize view points of clubs and federation.
we need to improve on viaibility and acceptability of women football by public, government and Corporate community.”
The only female CEO in super league clubs also said that she wants to see that the league get sponsors who can help these clubs to grow more.
“The other issue I would like to mind about alot if elected is the issue of sponsorship, our clubs and league in general need to get sponsors and partners and I believe if we work hand in hand with FUFA we can get them.
The state we are in right now, we can convince companies with ladies-related products to give us a hand in form of CSR.” The Lady stated.
Scovia Angeyo will be contesting against Crested Cranes head coach, Faridah Bulega who have been representing Elite League Clubs.
The elections for Special Interest Groups, Women’s Association inclusive is slated to take part on Saturday, 08, 2021.
The Elite league clubs and Super League Clubs will be represented by two members in the General Assembly slated to be held in Mbale on 31st August 2021.
