Baganda Support the Massive Selling of Our Land To Outsides, Hon. Kalwanga Reports To Katikkiro

Mengo: The Busujju Honorable Member of Parliament David Lukyamuzi Kalwanga has reported the Baganda to Katikkiro for their involvement in selling of Buganda land to outsiders.
Kalwanga gave this submission on Wednesday, 28, April 2021 when the newly elected leaders from Mityana distinct convened at Bulange Gardens Mengo to meet, the Buganda Kingdom Prime Owek Charles Peter Mayiga in what they call “Okunyumya Olutabaalo“
Kalwanga used the ground to requested Katikkiro for further meetings to discuss about Buganda Kingdom issues especially about land.
The Busujju legislator is saying that it has become a routine for Baganda to selling land to outsiders.
“It is not possible to see someone from Buganda buying a land in Northern, Eastern or In Western but we see many from those areas coming in Buganda and buy land. Some of us ‘Baganda’ we are playing a big role in supporting them to take our land.
We cause our own people to become homeless, I am asking Katikiro to speak about it because he can be heard more than us” Hon. Kalwanga in his submission.
At the event Kalwanga received an appreciation for being supportive towards Buganda Issues through Busujju where he makes a huge contribution on Ssaza’s football team and on every issue.
The appreciation came from John Mark Kaberenge the Kasujju of Ssaza Busujju while he was reporting the 5Millions to Katikiro which was contributed to buy Certificate of which Kalwanga was among the big contributors with 1.15 million.
Katikiro, Owek Charles Peter Mayiga gave his congratulatory message to the elected councillors, Mityana Mayor, Honorable Members of Parliament from Mityana constituencies.
“I hear some people calling politics a game, Politics is not a game, it is a very serious issue, I congratulate the newly elected leaders from Busujju and the entire Mityana district. It is not easy to win elections for the district Chairman being elected over Luzige whom we all know that he is a member of Nkobazambogo. it is a sign to say that Baganda does not discriminate, that is the Buganda we want in this generation. Buganda is for all people in Buganda” Katikkiro stated.
“As elected leaders, it is your responsibility to keep the ‘Kabaka’s integrity and the Buganda culture. you were voted because you promised to follow the Kabaka’s footsteps and you have to keep that.
I also telling you to encourage our people to work, to educate their children that is much important than giving them money, you have to do what is expected from you” he added.
