Farouq Meywa is set to launch his manifesto as he joins the race for the top seat at Sports Club Villa, with a major engagement planned for fans in Kampala this Saturday.

Meywa will unveil his agenda to the club’s supporters from the Kampala region as preparations intensify for the election of a new executive committee.

The Uganda Premier League record champions are gearing up for fresh polls following the expiration of the current leadership’s term under president Omar Mandela.

According to the programme seen by this website, Meywa will hold a press briefing at Kanyanya Playground in Kawempe, Kampala, where he is expected to outline his vision and priorities for the 17-time league champions.

The launch event will also feature a friendly match between Kazo/Kawempe Managers and Uganda Cranes legends, adding a celebratory tone to the campaign activity. In addition, Meywa is scheduled to donate jerseys, footballs and other prizes to selected teams as part of his outreach efforts.

The campaign momentum will continue on March 1, 2026, when SC Villa is expected to release the election roadmap at East High School. The event will also serve as an opportunity to register new SC Villa fans.

With the club preparing for a leadership transition, the race for the presidency is expected to attract significant attention from Villa faithful, as candidates lay out their plans to steer one of Uganda’s most successful football institutions into a new era.
