Pepsi University Football League: Kumi Hold Ndejje in Four-Goal Thriller at Arena of Vision

The Pepsi University Football League served up another electrifying contest on Saturday as Ndejje University and Kumi University battled to a 2–2 draw in a pulsating encounter at the Arena of Vision.

Both sides came into the clash on the back of strong starts to the season, and the showdown lived up to the billing — full of goals, grit, and moments of brilliance.

Kumi University drew first blood in the 12th minute when striker Walwasa Nathan coolly converted from the penalty spot, sending Ndejje goalkeeper Ochen Fred the wrong way to ignite celebrations among the traveling fans.

Ndejje, however, refused to crumble under early pressure. Just two minutes before halftime, Olupot Joel rose highest to meet a perfectly delivered cross from Morgan Kyagulanyi, heading home the equalizer to ensure parity at the break.

The hosts carried their momentum into the second half and turned the game around in the 48th minute. Midfielder Masinde Brighton stepped up and curled in a stunning free kick that left Kumi’s goalkeeper Amoni Eddie rooted to the spot.

But Kumi were not done yet. Eight minutes later, they responded in style — a well-floated delivery from Saidi Muthir met the head of substitute Olupot Simon Peter, who nodded in to level matters at 2–2.

From then on, both sides threw everything forward, creating numerous chances, but neither could find the winning touch. The final whistle confirmed a fair share of the spoils after a thrilling contest that had fans on the edge of their seats.

The draw leaves both Ndejje and Kumi tied on four points from two games, setting up an intriguing race in their group.

Action continues on Sunday as Africa Renewal University hosts Bishop Stuart University in another mouthwatering clash.
