We’re about to get out of the Covid-19 Crisis- M7

The President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has with great joy revealed that the country is soon getting out of Covid- 19 pandemic crisis.

While addressing the Nation today on the women’s day celebrations at State House Entebbe, Museveni has said that he sees hope in the future especially now that corona virus vaccines arrived in the Nation.

“I congratulate Ugandans who listened to the health guidelines because when Corona came we told you it’s possible to defeat it.” Museveni said before adding. “Some listened while others did not, that’s why we got some deaths.  There’s nothing we can’t overcome. Look Only 350 people have died of Covid 19 in Uganda but you know what has happened in other countries”.

The president also assured Ugandans that the country is in its advanced stages of making its own Covid 19 cure and then dismissed allegations claiming that he and his family had taken Covid 19 vaccination.

“Patients are now very few, we’re in the process of making our own vaccine not only for the old corona but also for the new strain. We’re surely about to get out of the crisis because from the look of things, there’s hope” he said

Last week the nation received the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines, of AstraZeneca and the vaccination starts on 10th March 2021 at Mulago hospital.
