USSSA Ball Games II: Namagabi Shocks East Africa Finalists, Kawanda Petitions as Netball Action Storms Quarters

The USSSA Ball Games II reached day five and shocks knocked Netball disciplines and tears started to manifest on Tuesday as giants bow out of the tournament.

The most shocker of the day happened on round of sixteen when Namagabi SS surprisingly beat Kawanda SS in a controversial encounter honored on Tuesday afternoon. The Kayunga District based side registered the 25-24 record victory over Kawanda SS.

Sharif Lulenzi, Namagabi SS tactician revealed that secret behind their display this season.

“Last year we lost at the round of sixteen but we never lost hope.” Lulenzi stated after victory over giants Kawanda SS.

“We went back and rectified our errors, we promised our director that the team can go even up to East Africa and I am happy that we have eliminated Kawanda, they despised us but I told the girls that they can make it.” Lulenzi told this website.

Namagabi will face Hamdan Islamic on quarter final, the side they lost to in the Greater Mukono region final.

“Yes we lost against Hamdan in the regional final with a difference of three goals but I still believe in my girls that they can make a difference again because they also believe that Hamdan is their match.”

However, due to controversies that manifest in the game, this website understood that Kawanda SS petitioned, claiming that the game wasn’t fair and they requested for a rematch.
