The 2nd edition of the Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Associations qualifiers of Uganda Primary Schools kicked off Tuesday, 8th July 2025 at Ndeeba C/U playground in Kayunga District.
The championship hosted by Ndeeba Church of Uganda Primary School saw five fixtures played on day one at different playgrounds in Kayunga Town Council.
Former East Africa champions, Rays of Grace Junior School shared spoils in a barren draw with Kampala Grammer Primary School at Ndeeba Church of Uganda Playground in group C encounter.
Elsewhere in group C, Wagala SCOUL Primary School from Lugazi registered a 1-0 slim win over Bweyogerere Church of Uganda at Lion of Judah Playground Charles Oboth scored the lone goal of the day.
In group A, St Mary’s Namasuba registered a 3-0 victory over UPENDO Christian School. Baraka Yunusu, Ali Kebba Kisambira, and David Kamara scored a goal each for their team.
In another group A, match Kanjuki Junior School came from a goal down to salvage a point against God’s Angel Primary School Lugazi. Muhammed Wasswa scored for God’s Angel before Trevor Owomugisha scored an equalizer.
In group B, Namagabi Umea Primary School, and Bubogo Primary School played to a one all draw. Owen Wasswa had put Bubogo into lead before Joseph Bumba netted an equalizer.
Other group game in B will be played on Wednesday early morning between Oasis Primary School from Arua and Namagabi Umea Primary School.
Schools are competing for tickets in Football (Boys and Girls), Volleyball (Boys and Girls), and Netball for Girls.
Top two teams from each category will represent Uganda in FEASSA Games under Primary Schools category in Kakamega this year
