Orom Henry Bishop, Assistant coach – Uganda Martyrs University

“I ask fans to come and watch good football, we’re confident that even this time around we’re going to lift the trophy, we lost some players but we remained on the track and I continue to thank God that on Sunday we’re going back with the trophy, this is not the first time we’re playing against St Lawrence, we beat them in 2022 final 1-0 and I believe history will repeat itself.” Uganda Martyrs University assistant coach Orom Henry Bishop.

Ziraba Ronnie, the St Lawrence University skipper is not bothered with the wrong history his team has, reached final twice in the past three edition but won none, having a uniform losing score line 1-0 against Uganda Christian University 2019 and 2022 against UMU, he believes that on Sunday he is going to write fresh history.

Ziraba Ronnie, St Lawrence University skipper

“Like I told you before, I will not speak much like I heard here, that St Lawrence lost in 2022, I don’t know that because I wasn’t part of that team, it’s their history, I have also come to set my own.” Ziraba Ronnie – St Lawrence University skipper.

His tactican also believes, this is their year before a lot is learnt for the past two years.

Davis Nnono Ssozi coach St Lawrence University

“The special thing St Lawrence is coming with in this final is; we have new squad that wasn’t there in 2022, last edition we had Kayemba Umar as the captain, this time round we have Ziraba Ronnie and as a coach, I have grown up, I have learnt a lot for the past two years, this is the best squad so far I have ever had, we’re tested enough, for the past two editions we have have been reaching final while unbeaten but this time round, we have lost two matches but again we made it to final, I believe this year we have luck.” Said Davis Nnono Ssozi, coach St Lawrence University.

The final shall be played at 3PM immediately after the third place tie between IUIU and Bugema University.
