Bika Football Tournament: 2023 Finalists, Ngoonge, Mbogo to Watch Fresh Final in Stands, New Super Four on Semis

The 2023 Bika Football Tournament finalists, Ngoonge the holders and the losing finalists, Mbogo clan failed to go past quarter final stage that was honored on Wednesday at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku and Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
Mbogo clan was the first to say goodbye to final of 2024 when they lost 1-0 to Omutima Omusaji in the game played in the afternoon at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Lusaggi Junior scored the only goal that dumped out the clan with the most professional players.
At the same venue, Ngoonge lost it via spot kicks following a one all draw in normal time. Sharif Kimbowa handed Ngoonge halftime lead but veteran striker, Robert Ssentongo leveled the matters in second half to push the game into penalty deciders where Nkima won the contest with 5-4. In the same game, Ronald Ssekiganda was showed a red card.
The other two quarterfinal fixtures held at Muteeea II Stadium Wankulukuku were all decided by penality kicks.
Ngabi Nsaba who scored late to level the matters against Mmamba Kakoboza, won the tie 4-2, Matovu Hassan made two penalty saves and between those, he stopped that of Hakim Mutebi who scored for Kakoboza in normal time.
Samson Kasozi scored Ngabi Nsamba’s goal in the 86th minute of the game.
Another quarter final duel was decided by penalties as Mpindi ejected Ngeye after normal time ended one goal apiece.
Edward Kawooya scored Nyege’s goal after 11 minutes of first half in normal time with Ronald Mugalu finding the equalizer for Mpindi in the 2nd minute of second half.
In the shoot-out, Mpindi won 7-6. The semi finals will be played on Sunday 2nd June 2024 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium ahead of the grand finale on 8th June 2024.
This means, Ngabi Nsamba will play against Omutima Omusaji while Nkima will face off with Mpindi clan.
