Quarter Final 4 Results:

St Lawrence 0-0 Kampala University [agg 5-2]

For another edition, Kampala University has failed to go past the quarter final stage of the Pepsi University Football League.

The Vincent Tumusiime aka Titi Kamara coached side bowed out of the league after losing 5-2 on aggregate score.

The second leg held at Crown City Campus Kavule, St Lawrence University and Kampala University shared spoils of goalless and Titi Kamara showed no signs of disappointment after bowing out.

In his view, the youthful team he is having has displayed a good game and he is demanding them nothing apart from appreciating them.

Vincent Tumusiime who’s known for his recent slogan of ‘Ogutali Musango’ asserted that people should appreciate that his youthful team bowed out at quarterfinal level.

“But people what do you want, you want to appreciate us after the return of Jesus?” Jokingly questioned.

“All moving on well, the University has done what has supposed to do, the technical team did well as well as the players, at home we lost 5-2, here we drew to a goalless, we were eliminated at quarter final” He said after the tense game at Kavule. “You need to appreciate us or you want to appreciate us after the return of Jesus?” Titi Kamara reacted.

Since they won their last title in 2016, Kampala University have never returned to podium and in the past eight years, quarterfinal has been the sweetest finish for Ggaba based University.

Though they qualified to quarter final, Davis Nono Ssozi, St Lawrence University tactician expressed his discomfort with the performance of the referees and the strategy laid by their opponents.

“I think it’s a good test match as we walk into the semifinal, they [Kampala University] did exactly what we expected and I am sure our medical team is very busy tonight.” Furious Nono Ssozi commented on the game.
