Academy Football: Congolese Refugee Wins MVP Gong in Siz Tournament

The third edition of Siz Football Academy tournament officially climaxed on Sunday at the works play ground in Entebbe Municipality.
This year’s edition has attracted over 30 academies of different age categories from U-13, U-15 and U-17 and Congolese refugee, Daniel Jirima voted the Most Valuable player of the two days tournament, under 13 category.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siz football academy, Sulait lbrahim has been behind the success of this year’s edition and he is rated among the few who have greatly impacted the development of football academies in Entebbe.
” I want to thank all the participants that attended our tournament for the last three edition and I appreciate the players, team managers coaches and also fans who attended this tournament since it’s inception.” Says Sulait.
This tournament expose and groom talented players in Uganda and by next year we expect to have a bigger and better tournament”.he added.
Prize for individual top players.
There were different individual top performers for the three age categories in this tournament ranging from Most Valuable Players (MVP), top scorers and best scorers.
Siz Football Academy earned gold medals, a trophy and cash reward of Ug.Shs 500,000 whilst Ebenezar Soccer Academy got silver and Ug.Shs 300,000.
For the U-17 category, Burkina Select edged Five Stars Soccer Academy 1-0 in a well contested finale.
Streamline Football Academy won gold in the U-13 category to take home gold medals, the trophy and prize money of Ug.shs 500,000.
