Despite getting a red card, BUL FC fought hard to beat Arua Hill 2-1 in a game played on Sunday at Paridi Stadium.

Alex Kitata and Lawrence Tezikya scored in both halves while John Rogers scored the only goal for Arua Hill as BUL FC continues with it’s perfect start of the season.

Forward Joel Madondo beat his marker and his low cross was tapped in by smart Alex Kitata to put the visitors in the lead, 26 minutes into the first stanza.

Before the break, John Rogers equalized with header in the 33rd minute, thanks to Wahab’s well delivered corner kick.

In the second half, Arua Hill had two clear chances to score but Ibrahim Orit and John Rogers’ attempts were poorly executed.

BUL FC’s Benon Tahomera was sent off at the 65th minute mark following a terrible play on Arua Hill’s Abdulahi, it was a second booking that resulted into a red card to leave a task for his teammates to play more 25 minutes when less with a man.

However, the 25 minutes were a blessing for the visitors, instead of defending a point, they continued to demand and in the 73rd minute, Lawrence Tezikya reclaimed BUL’s lead, thanks to Alex Kitata long throw in, to which Tezikya headed to find the back of the net.

The hosts tried their best to create chances and score the equalizer but BUL were resilient and kept their slim lead safe.

“I knew we were going to play a tough team, but my boys lifted each other and despite having a red card, we managed to score the second goal and defended it. I’m really happy with the performance of my players.” Said happy Abbey Kikomeko, the BUL FC tactician.

The win took BUL FC in the second place with nine points, tied on points with table leaders Kitara FC.

The result left Arua Hill with a task of looking for the first win of the season, and still at the bottom of the table with no point in three games.

In the next game, Arua Hill will welcome Gaddafi FC on 19th October while BUL FC will host Maroons FC on 20th October.
