USSSA Boys Football Draws: Greater Mukono Representatives Learn Opponents
On Wednesday, the Draws for the 2023 USSSA Boys Football championship were held at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Greater Mukono region was represented by three schools, that’s Mukono Kings High school, Latifah Mixed and St Kalemba, the only side that represented Kayunga district.
The three sides learnt their Opponents for the May championship that will be held at Nyakashura school in Fort Portal.
64 schools were pitted in eight groups of eight teams each.
Latifah Mixed was pitted in group A with defending champion, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende, Jinja Comprehensive, St Henry’s College Kitovu, Totoro Town College, Bishop Comboni, Teso Progressive and Nakaseke International.
Mukono Kings, the champions of Greater Mukono and the last year’s quarter finalists were pitted in group F with Patongo Seed, St Geralds, Kigumba Royal College, St Mary’s Simbya, St James Dzaipi, Lakeside Masese, Kawempe Royal College.
The Kayunga district representatives, St Kalemba were pitted in group D with Jinja S.S, Nakwasi Seed, St Kagwa High School, Standard High School – Zzana, Old Kampala S.S, St Joseph’s College – Layibi, Bukedea Comprehensive
Only two teams will be promoted to round of sixteen.
The teams will start reporting on 6th this month and the tournament will climax on 20th May 2023.
