Kampala Region USSSA Qualifiers: Kawempe Muslim Thump Concerted College as Buziga Shock Martyrs

The group stage games for Kampala Region kicked off on Monday at Kibuli Secondary School playground and Kakungulu Memorial playground.

Kawempe Muslim SS, the Kawempe division champions had a perfect start in group B encounter when they thumped Concerted College 6-0 at Kakungulu Memorial playground.

Kidega Godfrey scored a hat trick for Kawempe as Ssali Ramathan, Sulundu Ibrahim and Obedigiu Ronald appear on the score sheet.

The opening game of the day saw Old Kampala thumping Mengo SS 4-1 at Kibuli Secondary School Playground.

The champions of Lubaga division, Uganda Martyrs High School failed to secure maximum points against underdogs, Buziga Islamic, the game ended goalless at Kibuli and it was the last game of the day.

Kibuli SS beat St Mary’s of Heritage 3-1 at Kakungulu Memorial playground.

The days Fixtures changed a bit due to withdrawal of Kyambogo College, who didn’t show up for screening and even for games and gave no reason. Kololo High pulled out before the Committee found out that Kololo had no players on the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association system and the window was already closed.

The games will continue on Tuesday with four games at Mengo SS and Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga.
