The FUFA Women’s Super League, match day 12 held over the weekend had some shocks as the relegation battling sides continues to express amazing performances.

Kampala Queens for the first time this season have failed to win a game even when they were at their home ground at Kabojja.

The the 2022/23 season hopefully league champion dropped two points against relegation battling Makerere University in a match played on Sunday morning on 5th, March at Kabojja.

Kampala Queen, Makerere University drew 1-1, with Shamirah Nalugya drawing the first blood before the new signing, Husna Mpanja for Makerere from Tanzania levelled matter to make it 1-1.

The draw took the Palace Queens and She Mak on 34 and 12 points respectively.

Nasuna Evelyn scored a brace as Asubo-Gafford Gafford Ladies registering her second consecutive win of this season and the first for the latter against Uganda Christian University Cardinals by 3-2 in a game which took place at Kampala Quality.

Fatuma Nakasumba was another player who contributed one to Nasunna’s brace to make it to three goals, Nakasumba went three a long range free kick in 61st minute of the game.

Nassuna scored her maiden goals for Asubo in the league and her goals came in 6th and 40th minutes. 

However, UCU got their goals through Asiat Naluggwa and Nakagolo Jovia, Naluggwa scored through penalty kick in the 30th minute while that of Nakagolo came in the 66th minute.

The win for Asubo against UCU moved them to ten points, three points below safe position.

“Am very happy that we have won the game,we won because we worked as a team ,and believed in ourselves “said Evelyn

“We are still in relegation zone but I believe if we continue winning our games ,we will remain in the league at the end of the season

“This is a very big opportunity in my life and I believe there is something new I have added to my life and in my journey since I had never scored for the team” she added.

Loss for Mukono based side dropped them to forth position following Kawempe Muslims’ win against Lady Doves .

Kawempe Muslims beat Lady Doves at Kawempe Muslims grounds by 2-0 with Hadijja Nandaggo and Shakira Nyinagahirwa owning the day for the the Valley Warriors, taking the team to 17 points and displacing UCU Lady Cardinals from third to forth position.

At Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium ,Nababi Amina was the star of the day as the lefty bagged a brace when Rines was moving to the seventh place on 14 points after easing past Olila High School.

Uganda Martyrs WFC Lubaga humbled She Corporate 2-0 at Nakawa, skipper, Catherine Nagadya scored a brace and continued to sink depleted Corporate, the team lost at least four important players mid this season.
