Kayunga: Drama As Police Rescue Kidnapped Kid.

Polìce in Kitimbwa are currently investigating an incident where a young boy was mysteriously abducted and sold kilometers away from the place.

According to our reporter, Mr Batte Musa, police received information that a motor vehicle number plate UGH 901Y was transporting a child from Kitimbwa towards Lukonda.

Sources indicate that police then laid an ambush and intercepted the said motor vehicle, and also arrested the driver, who can now be identified as Ochieng George.

Mr Ochieng then led the police detectives to the house of a lady named Nakitende Ruth, a resident of Lukonda.

Reports indicate that a search was conducted in Ruth’s house and a male child, aged about two (2) years old, was rescued, and all three suspects were arrested and are all in custody awaiting to be arraigned in court for the offence of child trafficking.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the child was purchased for a paltry eighty thousand Uganda shillings (80,000/=) from a lady that is yet to be identified in Kitimbwa Town.
