Masaza Cup 2020: Buwekula Sinking, Busujju Revives It’s Hope With A Maiden Win

Buwekula is now like a sinking boat, they started 2020 Masaza Cup tourney editon with a 2-1 victory over Kyaggwe Sazza but their strength keeps on diminishing every aftercare game.

In their third fixture of Bulange group, they registered their first loss of the season after a 2-0 defeat against youthful Busujju in the encounter honored on Sunday morning at Njeru.

Shafic Kakande’s 28th minute strike sent Busujju into the lead before Isaac Kiberu scored directly from corner kick in the 71st minute of play to seal a 2-0 win.

This becomes the first win for Busujju in three matches, making it 4 points, to tie with Kyaggwe and Buwekula.

Busujju lost 2-1 to Busiro in the opening game before a one all draw against Kyaggwe in the second, whilst, Buwekula beat Kyaggwe 2-1 in the opener and a 2-2 draw over Buvuma in the second.

Busiro sits at the top with 6 points in two games. In the opener, they (Busiro) beat Buvuma 7-0 and a slim 2-1 against Busujju.

With one game remaining to close group stage of Bulange, four counties among the five have chance to qualify to quarter final level, that is; Busiro (6points in two games), Busujju (4 points in three games), Buwekula (4 points in three games) and Kyaggwe (4points in three games).
