Education: Ghetto Youths, Single Mothers Graduate at Buganda Royal

 At least 200 students graduated under Slum Life Survival program that is aiming at skilling ghetto youths and underprivileged Ugandans.

The students graduated in different skills on 22 January 2022 at Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education Mengo (BRIBTE).

Among the graduands include single mothers, ghetto youth from various slums of Banda B1, Acholi Quarters, Namuwongo slums among others and skilled with Craft making, Entrepreneurship among others.

The Director Slum Life Survival  (NGO) Omulangira Kavulu Kenneth said that he wants to improve the lives of people living in 308 slums in Uganda but so far he has covered only 8 slums.

” I am calling upon the government of Uganda together with the Buganda Kingdom to help and improve the lives of people living in slum areas, we are patnering Buganda Royal to set up an institute at Kazo which will help people living in slums to acquire different skills.”

Graduants thanked the director of slum Life Survivor Organisation for the chance granted to them as they were hopeless before but now they can start up their own businesses.
