Stanbic Uganda Cup R32: Bright Stars Expecting Not a Walk in The Park as they Meet Former Winners

There will be three fixtures in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday involving two StarTimes Uganda Premier League teams Vipers and Bright Stars.

Vipers will visit FUFA Big League side Jinja North United while Bright Stars will also be a way to to far Eastern Uganda and they will be taking on 1999 Stanbic Uganda Cup winner, Mbale Heroes FC.

And Bright Stars head coach Asaph Mwebaze believes that their strong performance against Nakapelimen in the Round of 64 will motivate them further coming into the game against Mbale Heroes. Though he is expecting a win but he believes, it won’t be an easy one like they did against Nakapelimen.

“We have had enough rest from when we last played in Moroto and the players are eager to go again tomorrow,” Mwebaze said before adding.

“It was a strong victory and it will motivate us as we face Mbale Heroes though I believe they will be stronger than our last opponents,” he added.

As Bright Stars thumped Nakapelimen 8-0, Vipers fought so hard to dump out Bujumbura United 3-1 in the shootouts after a goalless draw in normal time.

Vipers’ opponents Jinja North United also needed penalties to eject Busei 5-6 after a thrilling 3-3 draw in the 90.

The other game will be between FBL side Mbarara City and Admin. In the Round of 64, Mbarara edged Tawai 1-0 while Admin eliminated Northern Gateway 5-1.
