Fahad Bayo scored the only goal that gave Uganda Cranes first win against Rwanda at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Bayo was in the right place at the right time to pounce in at close range after an initial shot had ricocheted from the post as Rwanda failed to clear their lines from Isaac Muleme cross in the 41st minute.

The only goal in the game played on floodlights at Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali Rwanda came in the 41st minute of first half.

The big win today moves Uganda to the top of group E table with five points before Mali and Kenya played.

For Rwanda, this was their second defeat and they remain bottom of the pile with one point out of a possible nine.

The two will be in return leg in Kampala on 10th October 2021.
