Women Football: S. Sudan National League Clicks Halfway Mark With Four Much Anticipated Fixtures

Juba: The maiden South Sudan Women National League first round will climax over the weekend with Four much anticipated encounters from different playgrounds around the country.

All games will be played on Saturday, 03, April 2021 between 2pm and 4PM.

The table leaders, Juba Super Star will be on road playing against Kuajok Women FC as they will be fighting to maintain their position on top as well as consolidating their unbeaten run kept since matchday one.

The back on form, Bentiu also will be traveling to Aweil looking to win their second consecutive fixture, it should be noted, Aweil also need to bounce back to winning ways following a humiliating  4-1 defeat at home against  Yei WFC, the second placed side on the eight team log.

Torit WFC  also wants to maintain their winning run for the first time as they will be hosting struggling Yambio, the former won it’s last fixture 2-0 on road against  Kuajok Women FC.

While Yei will be at home hosting bottom leading side, Wau, in case the former wins on the day and Juba Super Stars fails to secure maximum points in their last fixture, Yei will have a chance to lead the table for the first time since the league began.

The league will go into break until 17th April when it will return for second round, unless they lose their first round last fixture, Juba Super Stars still maintains the lead with 14 points in six played games, only goals separate them with second placed Yei Women who also collected 14 points.

In the international break, South Sudan Women National team will have a friendly match against Ethiopia.
