We don’t need to Feed on Holy Spirit alone, Gospel Artistes Get Divided Over Joining UMA for Govt Money

There is still a big challenge amongst the gospel Artistes whether to join the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).
The self proclaimed President of Gospel Artists Denis Laneck has said that it’s wise for Gospel Artists to join UMA so as they can have a share on the money government is yet to release for musicians.
Laneck made these remarks on Monday while appearing on a local Christian Television station (Rest TV) where he urged all Gospel Musicians can only benefit from the Government by joining the association that brings musicians together.
It should be remembered that last week, the Uganda Musician Association hosted several meetings where musicians all-over the country were called upon to join the association because the government has good plans for Musicians under their association.
According to Laneck, UMA is the only association that is recognized by the government of Uganda and there’s no way Gospel Artists will benefit from it unless they join the association.
” Truth be said UMA is the only association for musicians which is recognized by the government and there’s nothing to be done about it. The only option left for Gospel Musicians is to join UMA” said Laneck.
However, many people in the audience seemed not to buy the idea stating that Light and Darkness can never meet.
“Most of the people in circular music have ungodly spirits which might weaken the spiritual life of the gospel Artists” the audience said.
Not bothered at all, Laneck stood by his word and called upon all gospel Artists all over the country to join UMA since all the organizations in the country are not christian based.
” Most of us use the Emirates when going outside the country yet we all know that it’s owned by the Arabs who don’t even believe in Jesus Christ. Let’s all use the association put by the government” Laneck added.
