SC Villa have defeated NEC FC 3-0 Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku to register their first win of the season in three games.

Umar Lutalo, John Paul Acire (Own Goal) and Arnold Odongo’s first half goals were enough to give SC Villa a vital and  needed victory at home.

Umar Lutalo opened the account with a simple shot from outside the box that NEC’s goalkeeper Samson Kirya failed to deal with and allowing the hosts to take the lead in just 11 minutes of first half.

In the 42nd minute, the Jogoos doubled the lead through John Paul Acire’s own goal. Teenager Jonathan Kakande dribbled past two defenders and his low cross was mislead by defender Acire who scored in his own net.

Before the break, Arnold Odongo netted the third for SC Villa. Goalkeeper Samson Kirya miscalculated Ivan Bogere’s well delivered free kick that found well positioned Arnold Odong who headed in home to put the hosts in a comfortable lead.

In the second half, Ivan Bogere had many goal scoring opportunities but the former Proline FC striker failed to convert any chance.

NEC FC tried to look for a consolation, but goalkeeper Norman Angufidru had one of his best days, making multilple saves to deny the visitors.

The centre referee had the final whistle as SC Villa beat NEC FC 3-0 to register first win of the season.
