UOC Fully In Hands of Don Rukare
Peacefully Uganda Olympic Committee made power transfer from William Blick to Donald Rukare following successful elections held on Saturday at Committee headquarters at Lugogo- Kampala.
National Council of Sports chairman and former Secretary General of Uganda Olympic Committee, Donald Rukare officially confirmed as the new president of the committee for the next four years filling the void left by his former boss William Blick who’s term of office ending today.
Don stood unopposed like many other executive members.
The Former Uganda Swimming Federation President Donald thanked all UOC members for giving him trust and he promised to start from where his predecessor stopped.
“Honoured to start this new journey as President of UOC . I don’t take for granted the role entrusted to me and the entire team. The goal is to promote sports Made in Uganda on and off the field.” Donald said after being elected.
Now the former UOC President William Blick thanked the members of the committee and the international Committee and National Council of Sports for giving him chance to govern the committee for two terms.

Blick asked Member federations to work hand in hand with the Committee because they are a family, he requested them to try their level best to solve their internal challenges before put them in media because they have to protect the brand if the Olympic Family is to steadily develop.
Rukare is going to work with other nine members.
