Ugandan Boxer Abdul Ssebute Signs Three-Year Management Deal with UK-Based Team

Former National Bantamweight Champion and East/Central African (ABU Regional) Champion Abdul Ssebute has signed a three-year management agreement with Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge Management in partnership with Uganda’s Nara Promotionz to further his professional boxing career.
The deal will see the UK-based management team take charge of Ssebute’s career development, including organizing training programs, providing access to modern training facilities, and hiring experienced trainers to guide the Ugandan boxer.
The team will also work to secure opportunities with leading boxing promoters in the United Kingdom to help Ssebute compete on bigger fight nights.
Ssebute, who currently works as a chef at Hobson Hotel Cambridge, expressed gratitude after the agreement was finalized, saying the partnership answers his long-standing prayers of finding a professional team to manage and promote his career.
“It is very difficult to progress in the professional boxing business in the UK without a proper management team,” Ssebute said. “I thank Hobson Hotel, my new management team, and Nara Promotionz for giving me this opportunity.”
His manager Gary Davidson Jnr, a former boxer now working with Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge, together with trainer Tony Petchell, said they were impressed by Ssebute’s discipline and talent, which convinced them to support his professional journey.
Officials from Nara Promotionz, including Director Lubowa Babu Hussein and Secretary Edirisa Kiyemba, were present during the meeting where the agreement was reached and expressed full support for the partnership.
Meanwhile, Hobson Hotel Cambridge has also shown willingness to support and sponsor Ssebute during his fight nights. The hotel management welcomed Ugandans to visit their facilities across the United Kingdom, noting that they operate several branches ready to serve guests.
The partnership is expected to provide Ssebute with the professional structure needed to compete and grow within the highly competitive UK boxing scene.
