Thorough Investigations Needed, I Don’t think it was Self Destruction’, Katongole Omutongole Reacts On Sserubogo Mysterious Death

Early on Wednesday morning sad news hit Kyebanjja village residents and electorates of Kayunga district when they learnt the sadden death of the District Chairman, Ffeffeka Sserubogo Muhammad.

The immediate news indicated that the newly elected and sworn-in Local Council Five Chairperson hanged himself behind his home after the morning Swallah (prayers).

The Kyebanjja village residents, where the deceased resides said that Ffeffeka had a meeting at Busaale Health centre and he had sounding mind and he made his jokes a usual and left the crowding smiling before setting off back to his home.

He had a meeting at Busaale Health centre yesterday, he was very fine and he made his jokes, then he left, but to our surprise, this morning we heard news that our Chairman committed suicide, so sad.” A resident said.

The former Bbaale Constituency Member of Parliament Aspirant and a National Unity Platform diehard, Denis Katongole, said that this is an abnormal incident which needs thorough investigations.

Katongle is saying that it’s near to impossible for Ffeffeka to commit suicide.

“I am really touched, feeling so bad, my friend to die I such a matter. I am so greived, if politics reach us here, Sserubogo has fought very hard to reach that level, you can’t say that after fight all those battles, he decided to kill himself now.” Grieved Katongle said before adding.

I know, there are people behind this, I request security to make thorough investigations if they can get facts, this is not normal, we were also in Elections, but none can hang himself because of debts. I only have feelings that some people ambushed him and killed him, maybe he was bewitched, you know people can also do that.” Katongole.

It should be recalled that Sserubogo was the first opposition party member to win that seat since the district inception in 2000.

Abdul Muliika, who ran on FDC ticket on Member of Parliament seat for Bbaale Constituency, hailed the works of Sserubogo and said that Kayunga is going to miss him because he had a wonderful manifesto for his term.

It’s a big blow, a huge test God has put before us, Sserubogo has been an inspiration to us, he has been a fighter, he left a legacy, he had a good manifesto and a lot we have been expecting from him. But we can’t fight the God’s will”
